MasterBoard — Terms of Service
DRAFT, not legal advice, must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before use. First draft written 2026-10-19 from the product as it is built today. Every item marked [OWNER: …] is a commercial or legal decision that is not made yet.
Version: draft 0.1 · Last updated: 2026-10-19
1. Who we are
MasterBoard is provided by [OWNER: legal entity name, registered address, company number, VAT number] ("we", "us", "the Provider"). Contact: [OWNER: contact email for legal and privacy questions].
These Terms apply to every person who signs in to MasterBoard ("you", a "User"). The commercial relationship with your employer (the "Customer") is governed by the Master Services Agreement (MSA) and the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) signed with that Customer. If these Terms and the MSA conflict, the MSA wins.
2. What MasterBoard is
MasterBoard is a web application that connects to a Customer's Genesys Cloud organisation and reads its configuration and analytics to produce audits, dashboards, wallboards and reports. It can also make configuration changes in that Genesys Cloud organisation when an authorised User asks it to. MasterBoard is not part of Genesys Cloud and is not provided by Genesys.
3. Accounts
- Accounts are invite-only. A Customer Admin creates your account and gives you a starting password. There is no public sign-up.
- Keep your password and multi-factor authentication (MFA) device to yourself. Tell your Admin at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- You may also be able to sign in with Microsoft Entra ID if your Customer has set this up. This only works for an account that already exists.
- Your Admin decides your role (Admin, Operator or Viewer) and which organisations and features you can see. Viewers cannot change anything.
- We may suspend an account to protect the service or other customers, for example after repeated failed sign-ins or attack-like traffic. Sessions end automatically at the latest 12 hours after sign-in.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- try to reach another Customer's data, workspace or organisation;
- probe, scan or load-test the service, or try to bypass its security controls, without our written permission;
- use MasterBoard to break the law, the Genesys Cloud terms that apply to your Customer, or the rights of others (including data-protection law for the contact-centre data you view);
- share wallboard (TV) links outside the people and screens they were created for;
- copy, reverse-engineer or resell the software, or use it to build a competing product.
5. Changes you make to Genesys Cloud
MasterBoard can create, change and delete configuration in your Customer's Genesys Cloud organisation. Bulk changes run as a preview ("dry run") unless you switch the preview off, and risky actions ask you to confirm your identity again. You are responsible for the changes you choose to apply. Check the preview before applying it. MasterBoard only does what the Genesys OAuth client your Customer created allows it to do.
6. Audits, scores and recommendations
Audit findings, scores, forecasts and recommendations are produced automatically from your Genesys data and from rules we wrote. They help a qualified person decide; they are not a guarantee that a configuration is correct, compliant or complete. [OWNER: confirm wording of the "no professional advice" disclaimer, and whether consulting deliverables are covered by a separate statement of work.]
7. Your data
The Customer owns its data. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy and the DPA. We do not sell it and we do not use it to train AI models.
8. Our software
We (or our licensors) own MasterBoard, its code, design and documentation. The Customer gets the right to use it during its subscription, as set out in the MSA. Feedback you give us may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.
9. Availability and support
We aim to keep MasterBoard available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service under these Terms. Any service levels are set out in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) attached to the Customer's MSA. Support: [OWNER: support channel and hours].
10. Liability
[OWNER/LAWYER: liability limits and exclusions — normally defined in the MSA and only referenced here. Must respect the mandatory consumer and employee protections of the governing law.]
11. Ending access
Your access ends when your Customer's Admin removes or disables your account, when the Customer's subscription ends, or when we suspend it under section 3. Data return and deletion at the end of a subscription are covered by the DPA.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms and give the date at the top. The current version is linked from the sign-in page; the product does not yet ask Users to accept a new version. [OWNER: notice period for material changes, and whether continued use counts as acceptance.]
13. Law and courts
[OWNER/LAWYER: governing law and competent courts.]
